6th Grade Habitat Research Project

Habitat Project

6th grade SPMS students study various habitats.

Tasked with displaying their understanding via group projects, students must convey characteristics of particular natural habitat and what species make their homes there, as well as the issues affecting it, including human impact, drawing connection between students and the natural world.

These student-created projects from 2016 explain some of the research related to habitats found right here in Maryland.
The students may link their research to a species report that they will complete in 7th grade.
